year the Great New Zealand Trail Ride becomes a pilgrimage
for people from all walks of life to get away from the
ordinary, and escape into the green hills and native
bush lands that make New Zealand a special place to
be.
For
seven days and nights, horses and riders head off the
beaten track and out into the real New Zealand accross
rolling pastured landscapes to rich native forests,
with its morning chorus of native birds adding a richness
to the experience for every rider. Every day brings
a fresh start, and every start begins with a great breakfast.
The whole event is fully catered so nobody starts or
finishes the day hungry.
In
2006 the journey takes place in the north of New Zealand,
the beautiful Bay of Islands. This DVD captures that
